Authorities have imposed strict security measures in several districts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, including Dera Ismail Khan, Bannu and North Waziristan, in response to the deteriorating security situation and to protect public lives and property.
At Dera Ismail Khan, the deputy commissioner invoked Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, imposing a complete ban on all movement from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The restrictions apply to key areas and link roads including: Tank Road of Tariq Shaheed area in Bhagowal, Kulachi, Hathala, Kot Atal, Garh Abdullah, Link Road Tikwara and Hathala, Link Road Pota Budh, Link Road Kanwari Ghar Mohabbat, Chehkan, Darbari, Pota and Kot Isa Khan.
The order, which came into effect the day before, aims to maintain public order and protect citizens amid persistent security concerns in the region.

Meanwhile, in Bannu, the police administration issued a public notice warning residents of emergency measures due to the precarious security environment.
Citizens have been asked to avoid venturing out on motorbikes, rickshaws or any other vehicles. All residents are urged to immediately stay indoors and cooperate fully with law enforcement to avoid any potential loss of life or property.
The police stressed that these measures were taken only to protect citizens and avoid any untoward incident.
In North Waziristan, a complete curfew has been announced for Sunday, from 5:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The measure was attributed to the movement of security forces. Residents were asked to suspend all routine activities that day and cooperate fully with law enforcement. Additionally, a nighttime restriction on public movement remained in effect from midnight to 4 a.m., without interruption.
These coordinated restrictions come amid ongoing security concerns in the merged districts and adjacent areas, where authorities have repeatedly imposed similar measures to allow security forces to operate safely and minimize risks to civilians.
Authorities have called on the public to fully comply to ensure these precautionary measures are effective.
