Quetta: A research operation is underway to recover the deputy commissioner of the Ziarat, Muhammad Afzal and his son who was kidnapped a day earlier during their visit to the Zezri tourist spot, the samples said on Monday.
Unidentified armed men had kidnapped the AC, his son, shooter and driver on Sunday – but then released the last two.
According to deputy commissioner Ziarat, Zakaullah Durani, the assistant commissioner had gone to a picnic point when the attackers held them, with their shooter and his driver, under the threat of a weapon, The news reported.
The kidnappers then released the shooter and the driver, but won the assistant commissioner and his son, fleeing the premises after burning the official vehicle.
The security forces and the local administration won the area and started a research operation, but no breakthrough in the recovery of the removal has been reported so far.
It should be noted that two months ago, assistant commissioner Tump, Mohammad Hanifi Norzai, was also kidnapped.
The alleged removal comes as Balutchistan, with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has faced the weight of the increased terrorist incidents observed by the country in recent times.
The two provinces share a border with neighboring Afghanistan and have faced attempts to infiltrate terrorists.
Last week, the security forces killed 47 terrorists supported by the Indians during separate operations in Zhob who were trying to infiltrate through the Pakistani-Afghanistan border.
According to a report published by Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies (PICSS), a reflection group based in Islamabad, the country attended 78 terrorist attacks during the month of June, which left at least 100 deaths.
Among the deaths were 53 security staff, 39 civilians, six activists and two members of local peace committees.
A total of 189 people were injured, including 1,26 members of the security forces and 63 civilians.
In total, violence and operations led to 175 deaths in June – including 55 security staff, 77 activists, 41 civilians and two members of the peace committee.
