- CD Projekt revealed new details on Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.3
- The update will arrive tomorrow for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X and Series S
- He will also arrive at Nintendo Switch 2 on a later date
The developer CD Projekt finally told fans what to expect when Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.3 arrives.
As detailed in a recent live flow, the update mainly focuses on the addition of new options for players and the world is more immersive. Title additions include three press cars and a new motorcycle, some of which will be obtained via new quests.
The deputy director of the game Pawel Sasko described the triggering of new quests as “intuitive” and was also quick to clarify that they will not be necessary to obtain 100%completion, so that the success hunters can push a sigh of relief.
Each vehicle of the game will now also benefit from a new autodrive system, which allows you to automatically drive the locations that you select on the card or your next quest marker. Autodrive will offer a separate “wandering mode” that takes you for an infinite and relaxing ride around Night City.
The personalization of cars is also being expanded, with a larger and double paint compatibility. Now, almost all the vehicles in the game can be repainted. A selection of more visually varied cars will also appear in the world, thanks to the addition of 205 generic painting work and 168 unique painting work for non -playable character vehicles (NPC).
In addition to that, players will be able to count on the Taxi Delamain service – provided they have finished the secondary quest. Just call Delamain on your phone in play and a taxi appears, ready to transport you wherever you want.
Johnny Silverhand can sometimes even join you in the cabin, sitting by your side on the rear passenger seats.
Elsewhere, big changes arrive at the photo mode in play. 27 new NPCs are added, as well as new outfits and poses to choose. You can also adjust time and weather, or even skip frames to align the perfect photo.
On the technical side, the FSR 3.1 frame generation is added for PC players. The game will also support FSR 4 for those with compatible AMD equipment, although this is delivered with an update of the AMD driver on a later date.
The console players will benefit from a suitable variable refresh rate support (VRR), which should, hopefully, make the game a little more fluid.
Finally, we have seen new images of the recently announced Mac version of the game. Players who already have the game on PC will not need to buy it again to try it on Mac.
The update should arrive tomorrow July 17 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and Series S. It also arrives at the Nintendo Switch 2 edition of the game, but needs a little more time in the oven.
