The 50 -year -old man won the winner of Daytona 500 twice, the race that his father won seven times and where the elder Earnhardt was killed in an accident.
As a team owner of JR Motorsports, Dale Jr. saw Justin Allgaier qualify for the “Great American Race”.

Holding tears after Algaier qualified on the track, Dale Jr. said he couldn’t “believe we are coming to run on Sunday”.
Earnhardt Jr. is back in Daytona International several times since her father Dale was killed after having crashed into the last round of the 2001 race. He is sure to assume that he was not easy for him to come back.
However, Dale Jr. said Thursday evening that after the traces of his father, he had to learn to agree to come back.
He did that and more. However, he joked by saying that he needed “psychiatrist” to describe his emotions.

“Papa loved Daytona,” said Earnhardt. “I loved winning here. I just loved to win any race here. He liked to add to this number anything (34). My god, I loved coming here when I was a child. Just a lot of good memories.
“I knew that it was not the track that had taken it. I knew that, wherever it was, it always felt the same thing about Daytona. So I kissed it. Me.
Allgaier won his first XFINITY title last season. He finished second in 2020 and 2023 and turned into one of the most popular pilots during his 14 seasons on the Xfinity series.
Earnhardt won two Daytona 500, in 2004 and 2014, and 26 races in total. But he never won a cup championship or got closer to the achievements of his late father of the fame, which won seven titles and was known as “the intimate”.

Now he goes for his first as a team owner.
“We can push a car on the grid on Sunday for the first time,” said Earnhardt, “in the most important and most important race I have ever known. And I can’t wait.”
