Dan Hurley’s return to Storrs, Connecticut, for the coming season was much less certain than many thought it.

In the new book, “Never Stop: Life, Leadership, and What It W Set Are Great”, that Hurley co-written, the double coach winning of the national championship revealed that the stress he had felt during the pursuit of the Huskies of a third consecutive title almost triggered him.

While Hurley should be back on the sidelines when the 2025-26 Uconn season realizes, he admitted to the book he “was completely cooked” once last season.

After leading the Huskies at the consecutive championships of the male tournament in Division I of the NCAA, Hurley faced questions about what went wrong when Florida beat Uconn in the second round in March.

According to athletics, Hurley planned to leave training due to exhaustion and take about a year to recharge physically and mentally. The 52 -year -old man quoted the feeling of being exhausted.

Hurley accepted a six -year contract extension with UCONN last year. The agreement was finalized after Hurley refused a six-year offer from the Los Angeles Lakers to become the next trainer of the franchise.

More recently, Hurley’s name was linked to the New York Knicks when the team was looking for the replacement of Tom Thibodeau. Hurley finally closed these rumors. “Not another summer from that,” Hurley told Hartford running in June.
