- Dapustor joins Soligm and CO with a large capacity corporate ssd
- Only available in China for the moment, the new reader is an upgrade of the SSD J5060 61.44 to
- Firmware and dram upgrades increase the flow and responsiveness
Remember when the SSD 122.88 TB were a rarity? Soligm was the first to launch one, and since then Samsung, Phison, Sandisk and Kioxia followed with their own large capacity business training.
Dapustor is now joining this illustrious club. When we covered the SSD J5060 SSD J5060 of the Chinese company (developed with contributions from Solidigm), we noted that a version of 122.88 TB was planned for 2025. This disc has now been officially revealed.
If you visit the Chinese home page of Dapustor, you will see that the QLC J5060 122 To appears briefly before disappearing while the site redirects to its English version. With a little excavation, however, it is possible to access the official announcement.
Not just an important step
“For personal users, this SSD can store 11,000 90 -minute 4K films,” says Dapustor.
“Although it looks more like a fun fact, it reflects the high combination of technology and convenience. For business customers, in particular those that treat high density deployments, the J5060 122 TB provides at least five times the storage space usable compared to a 24 TB hard drive, by helping to save rack space and deployment costs. “
DAPUSTOR continues to use the U.2 interface for an easy hard drive replacement and energy efficiency is a big goal.
The company’s announcement indicates that the J5060 consumes only 13 W during operation, with an inactive power as low as 2.5 W. This “helps the data centers to reduce their carbon footprint while maintaining performance”.
This performance obtains a bump on the 61 TB model thanks to DRAM and Firmware optimizations.
Sequential readings reach 7.3 GB / S, the entries reach 6.8 GB / S, 4K random readings at the top of 1500K IOPS and 16 KB Random Writs Land at 45K IOPS. The latency remains under 100 μs.
“As one of the first QLC adopters in the corporate space, Dapustor continues to push the limits. 122.88 TB is not only an important step – it reflects the confidence of the company in the maturity and the reliability of QLC technology,” said the ad.
“With high validation behind its SSD QLC, Dapustor helps customers confidently pass in the ultra-high storage era.”
