DAR for reforms to protect the energy sector

Islamabad:

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Senator Ishaq Dar, underlined on Thursday the urgency to adopt structural reforms to protect the viability of the energy sector.

The Deputy Prime Minister chaired a high-level meeting to examine the urgent challenges that the Pakistan energy sector faces and explore solutions for long-term financial and operational stability, said a press release from the DPM office.

He ordered the ministries and departments concerned to submit concrete policy proposals aimed at reducing losses, rationalizing subsidies and reforming pricing structures, emphasizing the guarantee of long -term sectoral stability and economic efficiency.
