Dar Hold Talks with the Bangladesh FM advisor in Dacca

The Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) and the Minister of Foreign Affairs (FM) Ishaq Dar on Sunday had vast interviews with the foreign advisor of Bangladesh, the MD Touhid Hosquain in Dacca.

Ishaq Dar reached Dhaka on Saturday during a visit that seeks to rebuild links between the two fraud countries. Dar is the highest Pakistani official to visit Dhaka since 2012, Islamabad calling it an “important step in Pakistani-Bangladesh relations”.

Hina Rabbani Khar was the final of Foreign Affairs to go to Dhaka, where she extended an invitation to the Prime Minister, Sheikh Hasina Wajid for the D-8 summit. Relations between Pakistan and Bangladesh remained tense during the 15 -year term in Hasina.

Discussions have focused on high -level exchanges, commercial and economic cooperation, contacts of people, cultural exchanges, collaboration in education and capacity building and humanitarian issues. Regional and international issues, including the revitalization of the Saarc, as well as the questions of Palestine and Rohingya, were also examined.

The talks were held in a constructive atmosphere, “reflecting good will and cordiality between the two countries”. The two parties agreed to work to further strengthen bilateral links.

After the talks, the Bangladesh foreign advisor organized a lunch in honor of Dar.

DPM also organized a breakfast with the Bangladesh advisor for Commerce SK. Bashir Uddin, joined by the Minister of Commerce of Pakistan, Jam Khamal Khan.

The talks have focused on strengthening economic and commercial cooperation, in particular emphasizing trade in trade and improving connectivity.

Yesterday in Dacca, DPM Ishaq Dar with the Minister of Commerce, Jam Kamal Khan, attended a reception organized in his honor by the High Commissioner of Pakistan in Bangladesh, Imran Haider. Dar stressed that the people of Pakistan have “fraternal feelings” towards the people of Bangladesh and expressed Pakistan’s desire to build a cooperative and prospective relationship.

He declared that the links between the two countries were “anchored in severe shared traditions, Islamic heritage, social norms and literary expressions”. DAR also held separate meetings with Bangladian political delegations to discuss reforms, young people’s commitment, stronger bilateral links and regional developments, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Bilateral trams and defense links

In February, the bilateral trade between the two countries recorded an increase with the start of the very first direct commercial connection via the sea. The two countries have already agreed to start direct flights, giving new momentum to the relationship.

Pakistan and Bangladesh have not only intensified political commitments but also defense ties. In January, a Bangladais general came to Pakistan during a rare visit.

Lieutenant-General SM Kamr-UL-Hassan, principal staff (PSO) of the Bangladesh armed forces division, who is the second commander, was the first general Bangladesh to have gone to Islamabad for many years.

The visit of General Bangladais, who was accompanied by army officers, underlines the change in bilateral links between the two countries since the eviction of the Sheikh Hasina government.

As the links of Pakistan and Bangladesh gradually grow, India is increasingly worried. Indian officials and experts fear that the growth of Pakistani-Bangladesh bonds is undergoing the safety of its real northeast states.

Pakistan and Bangladesh rejected these fears and clearly indicated that they are pursuing bilateral links for their own mutual benefits.

The eviction of the Pro-India Sheikh Hasina was a massive blow for India, which supported the leader of the Awami League to advance his strategic interests. Hasina has fled to India and since then he has lived there in exile.

The interim government of Bangladesh has repeatedly asked that her extradition be judged for various crimes that she would have committed in power. India has not yet responded to the Bangladesh request.
