Dar meets the Turkish and other counterparts on the OIC touch line

Darrier and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ishaq Dar, met Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan in Djeddah on Tuesday to express his assessment for his presidency of the 21st extraordinary session of the Islamic Cooperation (OCIC) Cootil of foreign ministers.

The two parties reaffirmed the solidarity of the company with the Palestinian people. Dar also insisted on “strengthening our [Pakistan and Turkey’s] Multiform cooperation ”.

Earlier, DAR also organized meetings with other officials, notably the Bangladian advisor for foreign affairs Mohammad Touhid Hossain, the Malaysian Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammad Haji Hasan, the Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs Seyed Abbas Arabhchi and Saudi officials.

The meetings were organized on the sidelines of the 21st extraordinary session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers to be held in Djeddah.

During the session, Dar called for a unified action of the Muslim world and confirmed the position of the principles of Pakistan on the issue. He urged the end of the Israeli occupation and the creation of an independent Palestinian state.

“The high-level meeting will bring together foreign ministers and senior officials from the member states of the OIC to deliberate on coordinated responses to climbing developments in Palestine, resulting from the current Israeli military assault, from its plans proposed for full military control of Gaza and continuous vigorous violations of the rights of the Palestinians,” said the spokesman for the Office of foreigners.
