Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammad Ishaq Dar organized a telephone conversation with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio to discuss bilateral relations and regional developments, according to a statement.
The two leaders exchanged points of view on a range of bilateral issues as well as current regional and international issues.

The two parties agreed to stay in touch and continue cooperation in the areas of mutual interest.
The telephone call comes in the middle of a series of high -level commitments between the two countries.
In June, US President Donald Trump welcomed Pakistan’s army chief for an unprecedented lunch at the White House, where the two parties discussed the Iran-Israeli conflict and other strategic questions. Trump thanked her for helping to avoid war with India.
The meeting followed a Trump Broker ceasefire in May between Pakistan and India after a four-day military confrontation.
The heaviest fights for decades between India and Pakistan have been launched by an attack on April 22 in Jammu and Kashmir (Iiojk), occupied the Jammu-Cachemire (IIOJK) which killed 26 people, most tourists.
New Delhi blamed the incident of “terrorists” supported by Pakistan, an accusation refused by Islamabad.
Pakistan led the Bunyanum Marsoos operation in response to the vile attacks of the Indian army that started in the night of May 6 and 7, leading to the loss of innocent civil life, including women, children and the elderly.

On May 10, Pakistan deployed its Al-Fatah missile and targeted several Indian military facilities. However, after Donald Trump’s intervention, a complete and immediate ceasefire was reached between India and Pakistan.
Last week, Pakistan announced that it had finalized a “historic” trade agreement with the United States, aimed at reducing prices and strengthening economic cooperation. Trump has separated a partnership separately to help develop Pakistan oil reserves.
Trump announced the new agreement with Pakistan for the joint development of Pakistan oil reserves, calling it to be part of broader trade discussions between the two countries. In an article on Truth Social, Trump said the United States was selecting a business to lead the project and adding that Pakistan could possibly sell oil to India.
Last month, Dar met Rubio in the State Department at his first meeting in person, accompanied by the Ambassador of Pakistan Rizwan Saeed Sheikh and senior officials. The discussions covered a wide range of sectors, including trade, investment, agriculture, technology and minerals.
Dar highlighted Pakistan’s interest in a stable and extended relationship with the United States and underlined the country’s American investment potential. On regional security, the two discussed the efforts to combat terrorism and peace, with DAR praising the role of President Trump in the relaxation of tensions between Pakistan and India. Rubio has recognized the counter-terrorism sacrifices of Pakistan and its contributions to regional and global peace.
