In recent months, there has been a spectacular reversal in Pakistan relations with the United States, while, on the other hand, India’s ties with Washington had struck their lowest reflux.
In August, Washington and Islamabad praised a trade agreement, which, according to Pakistan, would result in a drop in prices and an increase in investments.
“We have just concluded an agreement with the country of Pakistan, by which Pakistan and the United States will work together to develop their massive oil reserves,” said Trump while writing an article on his social media platform, Truth Social.
We are choosing the oil company that will lead this partnership. Who knows, maybe they will sell oil to India one day! “The American president added in his post, without giving additional details on the agreement.

This announcement occurred for a few hours after announcing 25% of prices on imports from India in addition to an “penalty” not specified on the purchases of New Delhi of Russian weapons and energy.
A few weeks before the announcement, another major development came when US President Donald Trump welcomed the Pakistani army chief, Marshal Asim Munnir, for a lunch at the White House in June during an unprecedented meeting to which he called an honor.
“It was an honor for me to meet Asim Munir,” said Trump. “I invited him to thank him for not having gone to war. He deserved the appreciation of having helped to ensure the ceasefire. ”
