- Marvel fans got their first look at Daredevil’s new costume for Born again season 2

Marvel fans have given their verdict on the new costume Daredevil will wear Born again season 2 after an image of said costume was leaked online.
Over the weekend (November 1-2), a photo of lead actor Charlie Cox wearing Daredevil’s iconic Shadowlands costume began circulating online. It has been difficult to identify the original source of the leak, but the image, which appears to be from a professional photo shoot, will likely be used for promotional purposes before Daredevil: Born Again season 2 arrives in early 2026.
Regardless of who leaked the image, it wasn’t long before it was shared widely on social media, including by X/Twitter user Warling.
The image, which you can see above, shows Cox’s Matt Murdock wearing his famous black ensemble from Marvel Comics. The almost all-black costume is equipped with a pair of dark red eye lenses and the vigilante’s iconic “DD” logo adorning the chest.
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen this costume. Indeed, behind-the-scenes footage of Cox wearing the costume was first spotted by r/MarvelStudios during Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again was filmed earlier in 2025. If you missed them back then, you can check them out in the Reddit post below.

It’s certainly a minimalist yet stylish costume and, unsurprisingly, it’s been positively received by Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) fans. In the hours since the footage leaked, much of the Disney+ series’ audience has praised the live-action adaptation of the suit.
On [sic] This is one of the three best Daredevil costumes, and it’s not. [sic] two or three”, and mcuspideydaily simply said “it’s beautiful”.
Meanwhile, on Reddit, Vast-Platform3647 said “Is this one of the best costumes in the MCU? Reminds me of those early images of Iron Man back in 2007”, Tharkus wrote “He looks so badass”, and Direct-Locksmith-420 said “Finally, that damn logo”.

Some, however, believe that Marvel Studios could have done more with the costume design. Over on Elsewhere, Redditors a_o and Rockalot_L also commented on the eye lenses, albeit in a more amusing way.
