David Justice spoke of his split of Halle Berry.
Speaking on the Podcast All The Smoke, the former MLB player discussed his relationship with Halle.
David shared that he and Halle realized that they wanted different things after five months of marriage.
He said: “My knowledge and understanding, my wisdom around relationships was simply not vast.”
“So I look at my mother – and I’m a guy from the Midwest. So, in my mind, I think that a woman at that time should cook, clean, [be] Traditional, do you know? He added.
The baseball player added: “At that time, as a young man – she does not cook, does not clean, does not really seem to be maternal, then we start to have problems.”
In addition, David also noted that Halle had asked him to marry him after having known him for five months. “I said ok, because I couldn’t say no. Who will say no at that time? “
He said, “I don’t know if my heart was really there, but I didn’t want to make her feel bad and say no, you know, or [if] I was just at the time.
In addition, David said: “We spent a lot of time apart because she made films in this country, this country. And we could probably have done so if I knew therapy. If we knew therapy, we could probably have done so. ”
“We have never had any major problems like that,” added the father of three children. “It’s just … because I was young and I had only been in a real relationship before her,” noted David Justice, who made the knot with Halle Berry in 1993 and divorced in 1997.
