A 60 -year -old woman died and her three daughters were injured in an alleged act of police violence during a Kamoke raid.
The incident occurred at the Dera Ameer Afzal on Toliki Road, in the jurisdiction of the Saddar Kamoke police station, when the police, led by Asi Rao Inam, led a raid to stop the suspects involved in a dispute.
The victim’s husband, ARIF, said that around 11:30 p.m., Asi Rao Inamullah, as well as six of his colleagues, entered their homes in a reinforced manner without the presence of police officers, assaulted his wife and daughters, and even took a Umrah, 90,000 rupee in cash, and a motorcycle belonging to her son when they left.
He also said that the raid was not justified because the family had already obtained a provisional deposit in the related case, which was a domestic dispute with relatives.
During the raid, Irshad Bibi, 60, would have advanced to protect her husband, how much Asi Rao Inam would have struck her in the chest, which made her collapse. When her daughters, Zainab, Misbah and Urooj intervened, they were also beaten and dragged by their hair. Irshad Bibi was taken to the hospital with the help of neighbors, where she died of her injuries.
Following the media report, CPO Rana Ayaz Saleem ordered SSP Rizwan Tariq operations to investigate. The CPO said it was found that Asi Rao Inam had led the raid without informing his Sho and was initially held responsible.
