- Deezer deploys four new features by the end of May
- They include new customization options for algorithms and the interface
- My month Deezer and my unique universal sharing also arrive
Well, Spotify still broken down? The Parisian rival Deezer has chosen a cute moment to reveal a quartet of new features coming to its musical streaming platform, right?
Deezer is clearly on a mission, not only to provide an enveloped and replayed response in the form of my Deezer month, in May, but to allow its users to express themselves and connect with others through music – whatever the best music streaming services from you.
Do you always subscribe to Spotify because is that the one your friends use? You are about to get another option.
Alexis Lanternier, CEO of Deezer, said: “At Deezer, we are constantly innovating to offer the most customizable and customizable musical experience on the market. The new features that we introduce today give users more control over their algorithm, greater flexibility to personalize their experience and easy and easy ways to share content with their friends, even beyond Deezer. We want to keep surprising fans with new ways of music.”
What about the four new features? Let’s go …
Deezer’s new features: let’s be granular
The suite of four -components updates that Deezer brings is as follows:
More control over algorithm
Deezer tells me that 40% of musical streamers are either 34 or less (well I don’t feel old?) And the message is clear: they want better control over the algorithm. Deezer has already changed its flow function to allow users to influence their recommendations fueled by the algorithm over the years (including “like” buttons), but from April, Deezer launches a customization of algorithm which, according to her, poses users “entirely in control” of their musical discovery. For the first time in musical streaming, Deezer tells me that users can modify their algorithm of recommendations without restriction.
During an online briefing, Lanternier showed what he jokingly calls the new “nightmarish section” personalized Deezer in the personal account of each user: all the groups you do not like and a chronology of what you avoided, and when. Don’t you like that? You will no longer be sent songs from these artists, nor songs similar to the one you listened to and hated. Apple Music offers “favorite” (star “(star” (star) and “less” pimples “buttons for the tracks, but it’s nothing like it.
Improved interface customization
The Deezer application becomes even more customizable. From May, users will be able to organize the favorite tab for quick access to their favorite content, creating a really personalized space. They will also have the possibility of customizing their playlist covers by adding photos, shapes and stickers – reshaping the application to adapt to their personality. During the demo, we were shown how to create a blanket-think of the Emoji stickers such as the sun, sunglasses and perhaps a drink, a colorful background and a title like “summer 2025 Ibiza” perhaps. (Lucky, by the way …)
New statistics to discover and share your musical identity
Drawing on his annual summary, My Deezer Year, Deezer launches my month Deezer. And let’s not chew the words: this is based on the mixed successes of Spotify packaged and Apple Music Replay (which was much better than developed at the end of last year). From the beginning of May, users will receive new statistics – including most of the songs listened to, artists, genres – and a detailed rupture of their activity, all presented in “unique and engaging” each month. Yes, we have already heard of this, but wait …
Share your music beyond Deezer
At the end of April, Deezer presents a higher level approach to music sharing and which transcends your streaming platform. With a universal sharing link, Deezer tells me that users will be able to send their favorite songs to friends and family who use other streaming services (Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube). The launch is based on ShakerAnother unique Deezer feature that allows subscribers to create reading lists with their community, even with friends who are not on Deezer – but come on! It’s huge, right?
At a time when there is still no official sign of Spotify Hifi, Apple Music, Tidal and the high resolution flows of Qobuz have become options that are always tempting. Deezer’s audio file resolution is still made up of CD quality, alias 16 bits / 44.1 kHz, (better than Spotify, not as good as the best offers from Tidal, Qobuz and Apple Music), but music that I can send to a friend, safely, they will be able to open it and benefit, even if they are used to a spotify in progress? It’s huge – and a great reason to change.
