A feature film on the military service of Jackie Robinson was briefly withdrawn from the website of the Ministry of Defense on Tuesday before being restored on Wednesday afternoon.
While the story had been deleted, the new URL, which also included the letters “Dei”, directed the readers to a page of 404.
The story, entitled “Sports Heroes that served: Great Baseball Jackie Robinson was a soldier of the Second World War”, was launched on February 9, 2021, written by David Vergun. The other features of “sports heroes that have served” include Bob Feller, Hoyt Wilhelm, Bob Uecker and many others.
PK Press Club Digital contacted the Pentagon about the deletion of history and if it and the inclusion “Dei” in the URL were express.

The Pentagon did not say if it had been done on purpose, but Pentagon’s press secretary John Ulyot published the following statement to PK Press Club Digital before the restoration of history:
“Everyone in the Department of Defense loves Jackie Robinson, as well as the parish of the Navajo code, the aviators of Tuskegee, the Marines of Iwo Jima and so many others – we salute them for their forts and in many heroic cases in our country, our race. Mission to fight war like other Americans who have worn.
“DEI – The ideology of discriminatory equity does the opposite. It is a form of awakened cultural marxism which divides force, erodes the cohesion of the unit and interferes with the basic mission of services of services.
“We are satisfied with rapid compliance through the department directive Deletion of the content of all platforms. In the rare cases that the content is deleted – deliberately or in mistake – which is out of the clearly described extent of the directive, we instruct the components and they correct the content so that it recognizes our heroes for their dedicated service alongside their American compatriots, period. “”

When asked again if the acts were done on purpose, the Pentagon refused comments.
In a separate declaration in ESPN, Ulyot said that Dei “died at the Ministry of Defense. The ideology of discriminatory equity is a form of awakened cultural marxism which has no place in our soldiers”.
Last month, the Pentagon called for a “refreshment of digital content” which “would delete and archive press articles, DOD photos and videos promoting diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI).”
Robinson was drafted in the army five years before breaking the color barrier of the Major Baseball League in 1947 and was honorably released in 1944 after being a second-Lieuante during the Second World War. Its number 42 was removed throughout baseball in 1997.
