Deion Sanders expressed hope for his son, Shilo, to find an NFL team after the Buccaneers of Tampa Bay gave it up the deadline for cutting the list on Tuesday.
Shilo Sanders joined the Buccaneers as a free agent not drafted in the spring. According to all the accounts, he behaved fairly well in the training camp to have a chance to do the team. However, he punched a Buffalo Bills player and was expelled in the last 2025 pre-season match. The team then decided to give it up.

Colorado Buffaloes head coach offered his reflections on the defensive back on Tuesday.
“It is my son, I am proud of my children, all. And I prepared my children for everything that could happen in life and in sport,” he said via ESPN. “It is part of paternity, it is part of parenting, that is part of the relationship.
“So it is mentally where he must be, physically where he must be. We pray that he has another opportunity to go with a team, but if he does not do, the plans have already been put forward on what he will do afterwards.”

Deion Sanders added that he was sure that Shilo would be ok in one way or another.
“Shilo is a man of many talents,” he said. “I do not know if you know – he is a man of many talents and he will be straight. All the Sanders will be directly with or without football. You better believe it. You would better believe that I take care of me and I have always done it, and you know all what I mean. You better believe it.”
