Islamabad:
The Senatorial Defense Production Committee met Thursday with Senator Abdul Qadir to the President to deliberate on the resolution of outstanding questions related to the development of Gwadar shipyards, in particular the acquisition of land, public grievances and environmental concerns.
The committee was informed by the secretary, the Ministry of Defense and the Chief Secretary Balutchistan on the obstacles currently faced with the execution of the Gwadar shipyard project.
The Committee was informed of the concerns of the local community, as well as the possible options and feasibility of the implementation of the project.
