- The duo of’longhi Dedica is a new compact manual espresso machine
- It can prepare a hot and cold espresso and has an integrated steam baguette
- It is available in four colors, including three pastel shades inspired by Gelato
DE’LONGHI launched a new compact coffee maker, the duo of’longhi Dedica, which takes one of my favorite machines of all time and gives it a makeover with the possibility of brewing hot or cold, and a choice of four pretty pastel colors.
The duo of’longhi Dedica is an improved version of the Dedica style, which has long stood in our overview of the best espresso machines thanks to its small imprint, its impressive performance, its high quality integrated steam tray and its very reasonable price.
The Dedica duo retains all these features and adds the possibility of preparing cold coffee for drinks like icy slats and Martinis in Expresso.
Cold Brew is the biggest trend in coffee machines at home at the moment, with brands such as Breville, Ninja and Jura all of new models that aim to recreate the soft flavor of the coffee infused in seconds rather than hours.
According to De’Longhi, the Dedica duo can recreate the flavor profile of the traditional cold infusion in less than five minutes.
Espresso with Gelato?
The Dedica duo came in silver colors, gray and black, but the Dedica duo stands out from tradition with a choice of four shades, three, according to De’Longhi, are inspired by the pastel colors of the Gelato. In addition to classic stainless steel, you can also make your choice among the mute green pistachio, creamy vanilla and candy pink pink. The colors are part of a larger global trend towards sweet nuances in the kitchen and far from clinical conceptions.
Kitchenaid launched things in February when he announced that his color of the year would be a sweet yellow called butter, and since then we have seen a real change towards more natural shades, with Kenwood, Breville and others all joining the trend. Last week, the tiny Nespresso Virtuo pop machine appeared in Pistachio (to match its coffee capsules with pistachio vanilla) and pastel yellow.
Each dedicated duo is delivered with a handful handful of matching colorful portafilter, which is a nice touch. Other design adjustments include a new wheel button to control the steam pressure and the controls positioned on the top of the machine, leaving the front clean and intelligent.
The duo of’longhi dedica is available for purchase now directly from De’Longhi, and from third -party retailers like Amazon and Target for $ 299.95. International exit dates and prices are still to be announced, but we will inform you as soon as this pretty little espresso machine is more widely available.
