Demi Lovato and her husband Jutes suffer heartbreak on their first anniversary

Love is strong… but tour schedules? Brutal.

Demi Lovato and her husband Jordan Lutes (aka Jutes) are about to hit a major relationship milestone — their first wedding anniversary — and unfortunately, they’ll be celebrating it miles apart.

Jutes, preparing for his European tour in May and his North American tour in August, admitted the timing couldn’t be worse.

“It’s one of those things that makes us sad when we talk about it,” he shared. “So we say, ‘We won’t think about it yet.’ »It’s going to be hard, there’s no way around it.

Romantic? Yes. Ideal? Not even close.

However, he does not let distance win the day. “We’ll just pretend,” he joked. “As soon as the tour is over and we’re together, we’re going to celebrate and it’s going to be awesome. It’s part of the job and we’ll just have to do a lot of FaceTime and figure it out. We’ll get there.”

Between concerts, Jutes surfs on his new single Ungroup and preparing for what he calls his “biggest” tour yet – funded largely by fans.

“The people who come to the show are by far the most important thing to me,” he said. “Nothing will replace being there and a bunch of fans singing your songs.”

And Demi? Still his biggest fan.

“She believes in me more than I believe in myself,” he said. “We like to see each other win. Seeing her win makes me feel better than seeing me win.”

As for the marriage rumors being “harsh”? Jutes doesn’t buy it: “Should we pretend to fight or something?”
