Denver Broncos: Michael Wilhoite was arrested for assaulting the peace agent

Denver Broncos second coach Michael Wilhoite was arrested in Denver for a second degree assault against a peace agent on Sunday, prison files showed.

Wilhoite, 38, was sentenced to the center of detention in downtown Denver and was scheduled for Monday morning before the county of Denver.

“We are aware of a situation involving Michael Wilhoïte which occurred on Sunday and is collecting more information,” broncos said in a statement, via 9 news in Denver.

The details of the incident were not immediately known.

Wilhoite was a free-drained free agent of Washburn when he obtained his first taste of NFL’s action in 2012 with the 49ers of San Francisco. He played for the 49ers throughout the 2016 season.

He signed with the Seattle Seahawks in 2017 and only played for them.

Wilhoite fixed the prospect of the ranks of the NFL coaches in 2019 when he signed as an assistant of special teams with the New Orleans in the staff of Sean Payton. He was then one of the Los Angeles load staff in 2021, their coach of the seconds. He was released after the 2022 season.

In 2023, he joined Payton but with the Broncos.

Denver made the playoffs but lost against the Buffalo Bills in the Wild Card Round.
