There is always one.
This was the case on Monday that Ichiro Suzuki was only a shy vote to become the second player to be unanimously elected to the renowned temple.
Ichiro received 393 of the 394 votes expressed by longtime baseball writers. Mariano Rivera remains the only unanimous vote, accomplishing the feat in 2019.
Ichiro, of course, undoubtedly belongs to Cooperstown with more than 3,000 strokes and 10 gold gloves in his prestigious career. It was always a guarantee in which it would be, but it was a question of knowing if it would obtain 100% of the votes.

When it was revealed that one person did not vote for him, the celebration quickly turned into anger on social networks.

“It’s a fun sport to look at. I had never watched Real Live, Professional Padel before. And it’s pretty fun to look at all athletics,” said Throw. “It’s good to see active people. I have not been very active since I retired. I slowed down my physical activity. It’s fun to see sport grow. ‘is huge international, Wayne [Boich] had a vision to make him grow here in the United States, and he really deserves a lot of credit. “”
Ichiro joined the Majors in 2001 as a very praised Japanese perspective, reaching 0.353 during his nine seasons in his country of origin, where he won three MVPs and was seven stars. From 2001 to 2010, Ichiro was appointed All-Star each season while winning a Gold Glove Award each year. In this period, he won three Silver Slugger prizes and two shot titles while setting up an average of .331 and 0.806 ops. In 2004, he set the record for a single season of all time with 262 strokes, and he was the only player in the history of the MLB to record more than 10 seasons over 200 years old. He also stole more than 500 bases and is one of the seven players to record 3,000 strokes and 500 stolen bases.
After only his 11th MLB match, his average career has never dropped below 0.300. He retired with an average of .311, 3,089 strokes and a war of 60.0. In the era of the ball live (since 1920), it is one of the 21 players with at least 10 seasons of 0.300 strikes (among qualified strikers) and only one of the seven to do 10 consecutive years. Ichiro spent the majority of his career with the navy, making stops with the Yankees and the Marlins.
