While Tom Thibodeau has not spoken since the New York Knicks relieved him of his functions as head coach, one of his former players revealed what he thinks after talking with him.
Derrick Rose, the former Knicks star who played for Thibodeau for years, called him “crazy” to see New York go from the longtime head coach.
“I spoke to Thibs after that. He is good,” Rose said at a Nascar press conference, where he was a great marshal in Chicago.

Knicks must always pay Thibodeau, because a takeover was part of his agreement he signed before the start of last season.

It is not known if Thibodeau seeks to train anywhere this season, although the Knicks have found his replacement. Mike Brown will be the team’s new head coach.
Thibodeau’s mandate in New York lasted five seasons during which he led his team to the playoffs four times.
The last round was the final of the Eastern Conference, when the Knicks fell on the Pacers of Indiana – the same team which defeated them in the second round of the previous year.

Rose joined Thibodeau when he started his time with the Knicks during the 2020-21 campaign. The former MVP of Chicago Bulls played three seasons with Thibodeau in New York, as well as with the Bulls and the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Thibodeau’s Knicks have always improved by the season, but its use of the minutes of its stars, especially Jalen Brunson, has been criticized by many.
