- Parallels Desktop 26 Lance with Support for MacOS 26 Tahoe and Windows 11 25H2
- The software has an internet speed booster, new computer management tools and updated compliance
- Parallels continues its subscription model without a perpetual license option for customers
The multiplatform work should now be much easier to resolve the DESKTOP 26 Paralels version, the latest version of the popular virtualization software for Mac.
The update introduces compatibility with MacOS 26 Tahoe and Windows 11 25H2, as well as a range of tools for individual users and IT teams.
Among its new features, there is the Internet Speed Booster, a mysterious addition with few details available on what it really does, but its presence can draw the attention of users who perform heavy bands of bandwidth inside virtual machines.
MacOS 26 modifications
“With Parallels Desktop 26, we offer compatibility with the latest Apple macos and new powerful tools for computer teams and developers who count on parallels every day,” said Prashant Ketkar, Technology and Product Manager at Parallels.
“This version reflects our continuous commitment to Apple’s innovation and our focus on the activation of companies and IT administrators to manage and securely extend their Mac environments.”
Parallels Desktop 26 improves how Windows virtual machines read the Mac disk space.
Microsoft’s operating system can now display storage actually available on the host Mac, reducing potential errors during installations or updates of large software.
The software also takes into account how MacOS 26 manages the background processes, allowing features such as the consistency mode of continuing to operate without interruption.
The update also adds new centralized management options for business users. Administrators will soon be able to apply policies that control parameters such as shared files, USB access and sharing of the clipboard.
The software has renewed its compliance SOC 2 Type II, which supports companies that must comply with strict internal and external security standards.
There is a new guide to deploy unique Windows applications on Mac without obliging users to run a complete Windows environment and to integrate with Jamf Pro to monitor and manage Windows updates in virtual machines.
The scripts provided by parallels will allow IT teams to perform analyzes or start the installations remotely.
Parallels Desktop 26 is available in Standard, Pro, Business and Corporate Editions, but it continues to be offered only as abuse.
The absence of a perpetual license option will undoubtedly be a disappointment for many, especially long -term users.
