DG ISPR reprimands army detractors

Islamabad:

The Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the LT Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, aimed on Saturday to those who criticized the role of the army in national defense, asking them to say now whether the armed forces have fulfilled their duty or not.

“You [critics] Used to say that the army does not do its job-now their request, has the army fulfilled its duty or not? “Said the ISPR of the DG during a special interactive session with students and teachers in Islamabad after the success of the Bunyan-UM-Marsoos operation against India’s uninsured aggression.

“Shouldn’t those who should not contact the army and its officers not be held responsible?” Asked Lieutenant-General Chaudhry.

Pakistan launched the Bunyan-Marsoos operation on May 10, damaging Indian military facilities, including missile storage sites, bases and other strategic targets.

Tensions between two-arms neighbors increased after 26 people, most of them, were killed in Jammu-et-Cachemire occupied by illegally Indian on April 22. India immediately blamed Pakistan for the incident, despite no public evidence. On May 7, India carried out missile strikes in Punjab and AJK, destroying a mosque and killing dozens of civilians, including women, children and the elderly. Islamabad responded by lowering six Indian jets.

Addressing the rally, the army spokesman stressed the essential role of young people in training the future of the country and has recognized their contributions as vital to national progress.

He warned against the malicious intentions of the enemy and underlined the need for national unity. Pakistan is a cradle of peace, and any victory for Pakistan is essentially a victory for peace, he said.

Addressing students, the CEO ISPR has expressed its optimism about the future of the country. “The love you have shown for Pakistan and its armed forces is proof that our future is not only brilliant-it’s great,” he said.

Lieutenant-General Chaudhry said the Pakistani army derives its strength from the people and that the people are firmly standing with their armed forces.

He reaffirmed the link between the armed forces and the people, calling civilians the “iron wall”.

The CEO ISPR has also declared that the generations of today and tomorrow will never hesitate to defend Pakistan. He also pointed out that the terrorism observed in Pakistan has clear links with Indian participation.

“We must now redirect the iron wall – our national unity – which eliminates terrorism. If the people and the army stand together, no terrorist will survive in this country,” he said. He called on the students to respect their teachers. “We have to greet our educators.” On behalf of the armed forces, he offered salvation to Pakistan teachers.

In addition, the CEO ISPR praised Iran’s peace efforts in the recent Pakistani-Indian conflict and warned against the “forces” seeking to create a gap among the fraternal countries.
