DG Khan authorities on their guard

The district administration examined the preparation and rescue activities following heavy rains and the increase in water levels in Sakhi Sarwar and Muzaffargarh on Sunday.

Accompanied by the zonal administrator auqaf Nasir Mahmood, the deputy commissioner Kot Chutta Shakib Sarwar and other civil servants, preparation and rescue activities following heavy rain and increasing levels of water, the DG commissioner Khan Ashfaq Ahmad Chaudhry has carried out a detailed inspection of the areas and the emergency camps affected by the floods.

The administration has evaluated the emergency efforts, the security provisions and recorded precipitation and flood data.

According to officials, unusually rapid water flow has triggered sudden floods in certain parts of Sakhi Sarwar, but timely intervention by the District Administration prevented losses and loss of goods.

Commissioner Chaudhry said that assistant commissioner Muhammad Usman Khalid, the province of DPO Tariq and the 222 rescue teams immediately reached the affected sites, ensuring the safe evacuation of residents.

“All rescue and rescue agencies are very alert. The protection of people’s life and property has been guaranteed by appropriate measures,” said the commissioner.

Later, he visited Muzaffargarh, where he inspected a flood rescue camp installed at Campri Hensive school.
