Islamabad:
After the Dialogue offer of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-E-insaf (PTI) of Lahore expressed their desire to engage in political negotiations.
In an open letter addressed to the government, the senior incarcerated leaders proposed a political dialogue to help to remove the country from its constitutional and political crisis in progress. However, they clearly indicated that no discussion would be possible without the prior authorization to meet the founder of the PTI.
The letter, signed by the PTI Senior, the Mian Mehmood Rasheed figures, Dr. Yasmin Rashid, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Senator Ejaz Chaudhry and Umar Sarfraz Cheema, stressed that the country is confronted with one of its worst political and constitutional crises, and that complete negotiations are the only viable patroness.
The leaders called for a dialogue not only at the political level, but also involving state institutions to ensure that all stakeholders can move forward with mutual trust. They stressed that political discussions must start immediately and should include the leaders of the PTI currently imprisoned in the prisons of Lahore.
A key point raised in the letter is that access to Imran Khan is essential before any negotiation committee can be formed or any finalized decision. Without the advice of the president of the PTI, they said, no significant or representative dialogue can take place.
The letter also insists that the unique access to Khan would not be enough. Instead, regular consultations must be provided so that the contribution to leadership remains continuous and the negotiation process remains effective and results in results.

Development comes as Prime Minister Shehbaz last week extended an official invitation to the opposition Pakistan Tehreek-E-insaf (PTI) for direct talks.
According to sources, the exchange took place just before the historic decision of the Supreme Court on the reserved seats, during a session of the National Assembly when he approached the president of PTI, the lawyer Gohar Ali Khan, surrounding a brief but significant conversation, including a handshake.
The Prime Minister would have said: “Sitting and let’s talk – negotiations are the solution to everything. I have already said it and I say it again: we have to speak.” Barrister Gohar responded succinctly with an optimistic “inshaallah” (God wants).
