In an article published last month, the publication of Barron affairs announced that the money laundering unit and financial crimes of DHS, the El Dorado working group, contacted the former anchorage employees to ask them questions about business practices and policies. Neither anchorage nor DHS commented on the file of this story.
Following the report, McCauley said his office asked his lawyers to examine allegations and have found them false.
“There is no investigation into us, as is unambiguously at this stage,” said McCauley. “This article is what some could call bullshit. Happy to clean the air on this.”
Anchorage Digital is largely considered to be one of the companies most in accordance with the regulation of cryptographic space.
