Shawn Levy, the director behind Strange things, says the upcoming finale is a “masterpiece.”
“It’s the emotional punch of this season – and especially in this final episode. There’s a reason it’s coming out in theaters. There’s a reason it deserves this. I think Matt and Ross made a masterpiece with the finale episode,” he said. GamesRadar+.
The filmmaker, who is also an executive producer on the series, adds that the Duffer brothers also had a “very clear idea of where they wanted this to end.”
“Those bookends were the pillars of this fifth season – and now that you’ve seen the opening, I can just tell you that after seeing the closing, it’s as beautiful a finale as any series I’ve ever seen,” he adds.
As Stranger Things season five is nearing its release, Gaten Matarazzo, who plays Dustin Henderson, is raving about how great the final season was.
“It feels like television has never really been represented on this scale,” he says. Reuters. “And I think that’s why the theatrical release of the final episode is really exciting. I’m really excited about it, I think the show deserves it.
Stranger Things season five, Vol. 1, will be released on November 26.
