- Photos of Gre PowerColor RX 9070 models were spotted
- This suggests that these graphics cards could happen soon
- It also seems to refute other recent rumors of a delay in the fourth quarter of 2025 for the Greems
The recent buzz on the GPU vine has suggested that if AMD has planned an RX 9070 GRE, this graphics card could be delayed for a long time – but it now seems that this may not be the case.
Naturally, this is only a rumor – just like the alleged delay of the RX 9070 GRE, and in fact the very existence of such a board – but in this case, we have photographic evidence.
However, add the seasoning as the case may be, but Videocardz presented us with some visible photos of the PowerColor RX 9070 GRE. There are two illustrated models – the Red Devil and Reaper – and we can see the boxes and graphics cards themselves.
Planches are dead ringing for the same RX 9070 XT models from PowerColor, which is not a surprise. The most revealing detail of the images, however, comes on the boxes, which have an apparent confirmation that this GPU will be loaded with 12 GB of video memory.
It is a lesser amount of VRAM compared to the other RX 9070 models, which are equipped with 16 GB. This goes with the previous gossip that this entering GPU will have 4 GB less in the way of Vorm.
Videocardz provides us with other rumor specifications for this GPU, which include 3,072 flow processors (graphic cores), against 3,584 and 4,096 for RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT respectively. Clock speeds are likely to be presented between these two existing 9070 models, arriving at an increase of 2.8 GHz or roughly.
Analysis: Q4 launch rumors have apparently demystified
With what seems to be photos of finished products – assuming that this leak is authentic – it seems to indicate that PowerColor is ready for an imminent launch of the RX 9070 GRE.
As mentioned at the beginning, he also refutes another recent rumor which said that AMD planned to launch the RX 9070 GRE soon, but then thought better about this idea, and pushed the time to release this graphics card until the end of 2025 (Q4).
To be fair, I had trouble believing that AMD would delay a potential RX 9070 GRE release until October 2025 (or perhaps even later) – unless certain problems are wrapped in production (and the quantity of supply of RX 9070 models overall).
However, we must remember that, as Videocardz points out, this GPU will probably only be launched in Asia initially, as with other GRE models. In the past, the Gree versions have come to regions outside of Asia over time, and there is a good chance that it will happen with the 9070 GRE – but we would not be in the bank.
In addition to a more affordable version of the RX 9070 in the form of the GRE, there can also be a faster variant, a GPU ‘Ultimate Nav 48’, if other rumors take place. (Navi 48 is the chip that all these 9070 models use).
