- Photos of a Pixel 10 prototype appeared on a Chinese auction site
- They show the addition of a third rear camera and what seems to be a temperature sensor
- The previous leaks mention this camera, but this is the first that we have seen from a temperature sensor
The Google Pixel 10 series has disclosed a lot at this stage, but so far, the real images of these phones have been rare. Now, however, some newly disclosed photos have given us our best look at what the basic model might look like.
Spotted by 9TO5GOOGLE, these images were published on GOOFISH (a Chinese auction site) as part of an inscription for a prototype of Pixel 10 motherboard – therefore, despite the entire illustrated phone, only the motherboard is actually for sale.
This is a strange global list, which – going through the automatic text – includes a prolonged diatriber on the crooks, but the real images seem quite credible.
You can see what is apparently a Google Pixel 10 prototype on the front and rear, and it looks very much like a previous Pixel 10 pro prototype leak.
You can see that there are three camera lenses on the back, which is one more than with the Google Pixel 9. But this corresponds to previous leaks, which suggest that the Pixel 10 will have a 5x telephoto lens with its wide and ultra-basic serpers.
Interestingly, there is also a kind of sensor under the flash, which is probably a temperature sensor, because this is where this is housed on the Pixel 9 Pro, but it is not something that you get on the standard Pixel 9.
Could be a pixel 10 pro
Otherwise, this prototype is very similar to Pixel 9, with the same design of the camera bar, the same global shape and a punch-hole camera on the screen.
That said, it looks even more like a Pixel 9 Pro, so we cannot exclude the possibility that it is in fact a badly labeled Google Pixel 10 pro prototype.
We should discover with certainty if this is how the Google Pixel 10 is soon, because the Pixel 10 series – including the basic model, the Pixel 10 Pro, the Pixel 10 Pro XL and the Pixel 10 Pro Fold – would have been launched on August 20.
