Islamabad:
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif chaired an exam meeting on the implementation of reforms in the power sector on Friday.
Speaking during the meeting, he said by the grace of Allah, the reforms in progress in the energy sector gave positive results.
He said it was a good sign that the ministry and the departments concerned cooperate to rectify the faults of the last seven decades.
“We have promised the public from the first day when low-cost environmental electricity will be provided to them,” he added.
The meeting has been informed of the objectives for the next three years in the sector’s electricity and performance sector.
It was informed that the revenues of distribution companies reached 93.26% by December 2024 following reforms and the campaign against electricity theft.
