Islamabad:
In light of the urgency of the invested floods across the country, the electricity division has issued an urgent alert to all distribution companies (nightclub), ordering them to ensure uninterrupted power supply during heavy rain and floods.
According to an official declaration of the electricity division, all nightclubs have been responsible for taking immediate and special measures to protect the electrical infrastructure, including substations, feeders and control rooms. Operational teams must remain on alert and fully ready to respond to all emergencies that may occur due to the flood situation.
A flood monitoring unit was established within the power division to closely monitor developments.
In addition, all discos have been ordered to submit situation reports twice a day, with compulsory daily updates to the division.
The Division of Power also stressed the importance of close coordination with the local disaster management authorities to ensure a timely and effective response.
The case was classified as “very important and urgent” by the division of power.
