Islamabad:

Islamabad traffic police (ITP) has published a special traffic plan to manage the arrival and departure of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Cricket teams, ensuring a smooth flow of traffic and strict security on the main roads of the city.

A spokesperson for the ITP said that improved security arrangements were in force along the key roads, including the highway, Club Road, 9th Avenue and Srinagar Highway.

Temporary traffic entertainment will be implemented today from 5.30 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. and again from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 am to adapt to team movements. Motorists are advised to anticipate traffic delays during these hours and plan their trip accordingly.

Drivers are encouraged to use service roads related to the highway and the Srinagar motorway to avoid congested areas. For those who go to Blue Area, F-6 and F-7, the lower passage H-8 is recommended.

Traffic to and from the red zone and the Serena hotel should use Margalla Road, Jinnah Avenue, Ayub Chowk and Nadra Chowk, while travelers at Bari Imam are also invited to use Nadra Chowk. Commuters traveling in sectors I and H should take the Rawalpindi-Peshawar road and the IJP road via adjacent service roads. In addition, the entry of heavy vehicles to Islamabad will be limited during the team movements.
