- Dji changed to reveal the Osmo 6 action in October
- The flagship action cam could include a 1 inch rival beating sensor and an 8K video
- The advanced integration of the smartwatch could also be included
The leaks on the next DJI flagship action cam suggest that it could put pressure on the insta rivals360 and gopro.
Presented as the Osmo Action 6, it could be the first camera of the genre with a 1 inch sensor, which will support the 8K video, more which looks like an advanced integration of Smartwatch.
If the exclusive leaks shared by the new camera prove to be correct, a premature action 6 seems to be the action camera to be beaten, with a sensor which overshadows those used in the insta360 ACE Pro 2 and Gopro Hero Black 13.
We have seen a 1 inch sensor in other DJI products, including the Osmo Pocket 3 vlogging camera and the recent mini 5 pro drone. However, this would be a new type of sensor for action cams and could offer a low level of low level.
The other features of the upper line to sharpen the appetite are 8K video recordings and the 4K 120FS slow motion and the 1080P 240FPS recording.
The video capture should be supported by Advanced Rocksteady 4.0 of DJI with Horizonsteady in Ai-enhanced for a 360 ° leveling, while there could be 64 GB of storage on board, plus a micro SD location.
DJI will probably have to increase the physical dimensions of action 6 to house this larger sensor, but it is not clear at the moment to what extent it will be larger compared to the previous models, or if it will otherwise keep the same robust action 5 pro design, which includes a waterproofing of the point of the industry.
In addition to these promising features, action 6 could offer an unrivaled smartwatch integration.
Become intelligent
The new camera would have received images from a tester showing the DJI Osmo Action 6 couple with a smartwatch (generic).
The association with a smartwatch is not exactly new – the OSMO Action 5 Pro can superimpose the key data of your Garmin or Apple Watch on your videos, such as speed, heart rate and distance, making it an excellent choice for athletes.
However, action 6 Pro could offer an integration of the following level, and it could work with other models in addition to those of Garmin and Apple, depending on the Bluetooth functionalities available in the watch.
For example, a smartwatch could act as an action remote control 6, which means that you can start or stop the recording of the camera and go to different modes without physically touching the camera, with data superimpositions.
We can also expect a larger range of data integrated into your real -time videos. For example, when used with a Garmin device, users can also be able to obtain power, cadence, rhythm and diving data.
While the OSMO Action 5 PRO looked like an iterative upgrade on action 4, action 6 could be a heavier upgrade this time. And with a launch in October, I plan that leaks increase to give us a clearer image of what to expect.
