The Pittsburgh Steelers are heading into the NFL playoffs after an exciting Week 18, and one of their stars is clearly happy as he was not allowed to participate in the team’s final crucial regular season games due to a suspension.

DK Metcalf was suspended two games for punching a fan during the Steelers’ game against the Detroit Lions, and his availability for the 2025 season came down to a 44-yard field goal by Baltimore Ravens kicker Tyler Loop on Sunday night to determine who would win the AFC North and go home for the year.

Loop’s kick went wide right and, in turn, Metcalf will face the Houston Texans on “Monday Night Football” in the wild-card round.

Metcalf decided to post a sketch by comedian Druski on his Instagram story on Monday, which expressed his happiness. In the sketch, Druski plays a character who has just gotten out of prison, which Metcalf clearly compares to his two-game suspension.

Druski reunites with friends in the skit, while saying “demon at home.” Metcalf will likely feel the same way when he visits the Steelers’ facility this week to prepare for their playoff game.

STEELS MAKE IMPORTANT CONTRACT DECISION ON DK METCALF AFTER SUSPENSION

The Steelers didn’t need to hope that Loop would miss that kick Sunday night to determine their playoff spot, as a win against the Cleveland Browns in Week 17 would have sealed the deal. But without Metcalf, Aaron Rodgers and company struggled against the Browns’ defense, which included three passes from the four-time MVP quarterback to Marquez Valdes-Scantling late in the game that all fell incomplete in the end zone.

Steelers fans couldn’t help but think about what could have happened if Metcalf had been the one receiving those bland balls like he did all season.

Instead, Week 18 was big as the Ravens beat the Green Bay Packers and made the game a winner-takes-all scenario at Acrisure Stadium. Fortunately for Metcalf, his teammates picked him up, including Calvin Austin who scored the game-winning touchdown with 55 seconds left in the fourth quarter.

However, the Steelers were on ants and needles after stalwart kicker Chris Boswell kicked the extra point, leaving the Ravens lucky on the starting field.

Pittsburgh walked away with the victory, but the challenge becomes even greater now as they face the Texans, the NFL’s best defense in yards allowed per game (277.2) and second-best in points allowed (17.4).

Rodgers and the rest of the Steelers offense will be counting on Metcalf to get the job done, and while he’s joking a bit now, he surely understands the pressure placed on him in the playoffs.
