Resident Evil Requiem Producer Masato Kumazawa said newcomers could enjoy the game without having prior knowledge of the series, but there will be tricks to discover fun things for traditions of traditions.
In a new interview with VGC, alongside director Koshi Nakanishi, Kumazawa has discussed the creation of a game that is both accessible to players who have never touched resident Evil Long -standing game and fans.
He explained that the game, although always accessible as a regular horror game for new arrivals, will always have the links resident Evil Community love, even going so far as to say that longtime fans “will appreciate it at 150%”.
“We believe that it is important to balance the additional pleasure that you get nostalgic Easter eggs and indices and traffic connections if you are a series fan, compared to not playing an alienating game to players who are not caught. I do not want people to feel that they have to do their homework to fully appreciate this game,” said Kumazawa.
“So, even if we do not really enter how much and what you will see by Raccoon City throughout the full game, I think that if you know nothing about it, you will simply play like a horror game in a ruined city, and you will be able to understand and appreciate it 100%.
“If you are a fan and you see all the connections and the links of tradition and the background tips and all that, I think you will appreciate it at 150%, and that will give you this additional level of detail, but we do not want you to have the incident and understand the relationship between this chronology in order to understand the game.”
Last month, director Koshi Nakanishi explained why Resident Evil Requiem offers both a third -person and first -person mode, saying Resident Evil 7 Perhaps “too scary” for some players, so a third-person option has been added to Requiem in part for this reason.
