- A newly redesigned MacBook Pro arrived in 2026
- If the leaks are correct, it will include an OLED screen and a thinner chassis
- This overhaul will also be fueled by Apple M6 silicon
It could finally happen, people: the long -awaited MacBook Oled is finally on the way, if we are to believe new claims of the famous apple leak Mark Gurman.
Gurman said in his latest power on the newsletter for Bloomberg that Apple provided a major overhaul of the MacBook Pro in 2026, which will provide several remarkable changes – and the chief among them is the introduction of an Oled tandem display designed by Samsung, the same type seen on the new iPad Pro from last year.
He can also abandon the “Notch” on the webcam screen in favor of a floating “holes” camera – perhaps adopting something more similar to the dynamic island seen on modern iPhones.
That’s not all, however: Gurman’s sources also indicate that the new MacBook Pro will have a thinner design than the previous models, declaring that Apple “had once hoped to publish this new version in 2025”.
In other words, the MacBook Pro from next year could be very different from the 14 -inch M4 MacBook Pro M4 that we examined in November. But how does Apple plan to make its laptop pro-prade even more compact without sacrificing power? The answer could lie with the M6 chip.
Motivated
Yes, Gurman also thinks that these new generation MacBook Pros will come with the M6 chip (probably also with the M6 Pro and M6 Max versions) – implying that we can expect M5 MacBook this year, without OLED upgrade.
The M6 fleas will be the first Apple laptop processors that use the new 2 NM process of the TSMC flea manufacturer (alongside the A20 chips expected for iPhones). The 2 NM process is expected to provide new developments in performance and electrical efficiency, which could explain how Apple expects M6 fleas to work at a high level of performance even in a thinner MacBook.
As for the MacBook Air, there is no news on the potential variants M5 or M6, but we must assume that they will be in preparation; After all, the new M4 MacBook Air only arrived on the stage several months after the M4 chip landed on the MacBook Pro and iPad Pro models. However, a previous report that we have covered claims according to which a MacBook Air Oled is still on the way, although it does not use the same panel in tandem oled as the pro and will probably arrive in 2027 or later – something that would align with the existing liberation rate of Apple, if the MacBook Pro Oled actually landed at the end of 2026.
