Tell the story of Outlandpredecessors, Outlander: Blood of my blood It already looks like another smash for Starz’s time travel franchise. We are three episodes in the new television program worthy of a frenzy, which follows the parents of Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) while they return to the 18th century Scotland and connect to each other in the process. Even if you look at the prequel and have not followed the main program too close, you can spot a little satisfactory Outland Easter eggs… and there are many.
Just before episode 3 was broadcast (which is also streaming on MGM+ For those of the United Kingdom and Stan in Australia), I caught Henry (Jeremy Irvine) and Julia (Hermione Corfield), better known as the younger versions of Claire’s parents. Unlike the family of Jamie, Julia and Henry fell in love during the First World War before being launched in time to meet them in the prequel. However, they were separated, finding their way while talking about rewrite history in the process.
This rewriting of history already takes as many twists and turns as I do not know if I come or that I go. Seamless Outlanderheads (as I call fans) has not lost time to conceive of theories for what could happen in future episodes, especially if we will see Claire meet without knowing her parents. Not only have Irvine and Corfield saw these theories, but they also suggested that some of them were in the right direction.
Outlander: the blood of my theories of blood fans could be closer to the truth than we think
To watch
“I have it,” replies Corfield when I ask her if she saw fans theories. “I saw some comments on Instagram where I was, like” HM … interesting “. But also, some of them are theories that we do not even know the answer, because we literally do not know.
Popular theories are currently including the meeting of Claire’s parents in Outland Season 8, which ended the shooting in September 2024, Julia’s baby (Claire was already born) being someone we have already met in the main living room, and Jamie’s father, Brian (Jamie Roy), being more closely linked to the pair that we were brought to believe.
Since the casting is filming season 2, we can exclude any theory that goes too far in time (as in the 18th century but still behind the First World War. Continue!). They will still not know how the second half of season 2 takes place at all, but Irvine teased a shocking turn during the first half of season 2 that we probably did not guessed at all.
“When you see the characters at the end of season 1, where they start then season 2 is not very well what you expect. I did not expect at all. I was very confused when I went for my first suitable costume and I saw the costumes, asking” what will it be? “”
“These are ups and downs and everything else. A total roller coaster,” adds Corfield on what is definitely to come.
