The WWDC 2025 gave us our first overview of Watchos 26, bringing new features with it, including training friends, reading lists linked to your exercise plans and a redesign of the long -awaited user interface. Watchos 26 should not arrive before September, but we are already delighted to seize them.
It will not be for everyone, however, and we do not mean in terms of users who choose not to upgrade – some will simply be able to do so.

What models are missing?
Naturally, if you have the first Apple Watch SE or an Apple Watch 5 series or earlier, you will be stuck on the Watchos update that you have installed at the moment.
Fortunately, all Apple Watch Ultra models are always supported, which is just as well given the price.
So what are the owners of older devices missing?
The new changes to the Apple user interface are felt in all operating systems, but Watchos 26 will see changes in smart battery widgets, clues, notifications, control center and more.
Getting along with the smart battery, it becomes smarter than before, “improving its prediction algorithms by incorporating more contextual data, sensor data and the date of a user routine”.
Apple watches also obtain a feature that says that Apple is powered by Apple Intelligence: Workout Buddy.
Apple says it will generate information during training based on fitness application data and sensor data. This will even give you a speech of encouragement, while keeping you on the right track with comments on your training.
