There was a scary moment on the second day of the Miami Dolphins training camp on Wednesday because a player had to be transported by plane to the hospital.
The offensive line player Bayron Matos was injured in the last minutes of practice and was transported by plane to a neighboring hospital, where he was listed as in a stable state, in several reports.
Dolphins have not published any other information concerning the injury or its status.

Matos is not drafted last year and spent the season in the training team. He was a university basketball player from 2019 to 2022 both at the University of New Mexico and at the University of Florida in the South.
He then continued for the Bulls football team for the 2022 season, starting as a defensive line before going on the offensive side of the ball.

Matos was born in the Dominican Republic and moved to the United States at the age of 16. He initially played baseball as a child but preferred hardwood.
Matos impressed during his professional day before the draft, running a 4.88 dashboard of 40 yards despite a weighing more than 300 pounds at 6 feet 7 inches. If he had participated in the NFL screening combination, his 40 times would have been the fastest of all line players.
Matos is part of the international NFL players’ journey program, which hopes to increase the number of players outside the United States or Canada.
