- Apple CEO, Tim Cook, promises a lifespan of the iPhone air battery “ super ”
- The phone is the thinner iPhone ever launched
- Officially, the battery life for the phone rises up to 27 hours
Earlier this week, Apple unveiled the iPhone air, alongside three other new iPhones: it is the thinnest iPhone to date, measuring only 5.64 mm, and Apple CEO, Tim Cook, responded to concerns about what this slim could mean for the battery life.
“The battery life is great,” COOK told CNBC Jim Cramer in a new interview. “You will love the battery life.” The phone was designed “from the inside” to get as much time as possible between the charges, according to the Apple Boss.
Cook then explained how the phone was designed to maximize the battery capacity, mentioning how the phone was only ESIM – with the space saved by the removal of the physical SIM card slot used to enlarge the battery.
“It is as if you are holding the future in your hand,” enthusiastic Cook at a previous time in the new segment, perhaps an indication that we will see more air models in the future-perhaps alongside an entirely curved glass in glass.
Until 27 hours
To watch
Apple has certainly adopted a new approach to the design of the iPhone with iPhone air, and most key components have been placed at the top of the case. This leaves the rest of the internal space available for a battery.
According to Apple official figures, you can get up to 27 hours of video playback between the battery loads in the iPhone air. This is compared to 30 hours for the standard iPhone 17, 33 hours for the iPhone Pro and 39 hours for the iPhone Pro Max.
It should also be noted that Apple also chose to launch a Magsafe compatible battery charger specifically for the iPhone Air – suggesting that you will not necessarily get a lot of use of the smartphone from a single battery load.
We have not yet been able to test the lifespan of the iPhone air battery for ourselves, although we had practical time with the new handset. While the device is heading for users from next Friday, we will know more about the life potential of its battery.
