DPM to go for China on Monday after the Pakistan-India conflict

Vice-Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ishaq Dar will embark on an official three-day visit to China from Monday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Sunday.

The visit comes at the invitation of the Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and is part of high -level exchanges in progress between the two nations.

During his trip, Ishaq Dar will hold “in -depth discussions” with Wang Yi on the evolution of the regional situation in South Asia and its implications for peace and stability, according to the press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The two parties will also examine the complete spectrum of Pakistani-Chinese bilateral relations and exchange opinions on the regional and global developments of mutual interest.

“The visit underlines the shared commitment of Pakistan and China to deepen their strategic cooperative partnership all times,” said the press release.

Translections should focus on regional security, economic cooperation and the progression of the Chinese-Pakistani Economic Corridor (CPEC).

According to sources, ISHAQ DAR will hold consultations with senior Chinese officials on the current conflict situation between Pakistan and India. High civil servants should accompany the Deputy Prime Minister during the visit.

“China has expressed full support in Pakistan in the face of Indian assault,” said a diplomatic source, adding that discussions will focus on regional stability and diplomatic coordination.

The visit, which coincides with the presence of the Afghan Minister of Affairs Amir Khan Muttaqi in China, should include talks on wider regional security, including developments in Afghanistan.
