QUETTA: Dr. Mahrang Baloch was appointed among 150 people, including eminent leaders of the Balcoh Yakjehti committee (BYC), facing accusations encompassing various serious offenses such as terrorism, incentive to rebellion and murder.
A first information report (FIR), housed at the Saryab police station on Saturday, also appointed Beebow Baloch, Gulzadi Satakzai, Sabiha Baloch, Sabatullah Baloch, Gulzar Dost, Riaz Gassi, Dr Shali Baloch and others among the accused.
The accusations against these people include violations of articles 7 and 11 W of the anti-terrorism law, as well as 16 sections of the Pakistani Penal Code.
These accusations cover terrorism, murder, attempted murder, incentive to violence and rebellion, creating a disorder, promoting racial hatred and harmful goods.
Mahrang, with 17 others, was arrested and is currently detained in the Quetta district prison under article 3 of the order of public order (MPO).
The case accused Mahrang and Byc’s leaders of helping the rioters shooted on police, passers -by, civilians and their protest colleagues, which resulted in the death of three people and made 15 injured police officers.
The group also faces accusations for their involvement in a chaotic attack against the civil hospital and to force the bodies of the attackers of the attraction of Jaffer Express.
The FIR linked to the incident of the Civil Hospital, which was filed with the Quetta civilian police station last week, said that 100 to 150 people had storming medical sanitation and forcibly taken the bodies of the attackers involved in the Jaffer Express attack of the hospital morgue during the instigation of the management of the byc.
The FIR declares that the accused arrested a private ambulance at Hockey Chowk, beaten the driver and loaded the bodies in the ambulance.
In addition, another FIR was deposited against the leaders of Byc Gulzadi Baloch, Ali Jan, Shoaib, Syed Noor Shah, Waheed, Jahanzeb, Zohaib Baloch and more than 100 other people, at the Brasserie Police Station in Quetta.
This affair accuses individuals of blocking the Western bypass road on Saturday while singing slogans against the State and its institutions, encouraging public disorders.
It should be noted that under the direction of Mahrang, the demonstrators started a sit-in by placing bodies on Saryab Road on Friday evening. Later, the next day, the police launched a repression against the demonstrators, arresting Mahrang and several others.
According to the police, Mahrang’s arrest has not yet been officially disclosed, and it is not in the care of the civil line police, but is detained in the district prison, perhaps under articles 3 or 16 MPO.
Meanwhile, dropping strikes took place for the second consecutive day in several cities in the province on Sunday, including Turbat, Hub and Dalbadin.
In Turbat, a protest sit-in has been underway for two days with the turbat-karachi highway blocked in protest. In Hub, in Bhawani, demonstrators blocked the Quetta-Karachi road to protest against the arrest of Mahrang.
However, the police dispersed the demonstrators with accusations of tear gas and relays on Sunday morning. According to the police, the highway has been reopened for traffic.
The shopping and commercial centers remained closed in Mastung, Kalat, Kharan, Chaghi, Panjgur, Turbat and several other cities due to events.
Meanwhile, a complete drop -down strike continued in Dalbandin and other Balutchistan regions for the second consecutive day, after BYC’s call. As a result, all business centers have remained closed.
In addition, the Byc organized a rally and demonstrations with demonstrators requiring the immediate release of arrested leaders and measures against the officers involved in alleged violence against the demonstrators in Quetta.
A rally also took place in Dhadar, where the participants demanded the immediate release of the leaders BYC and sang slogans in favor of missing persons before dispersing peacefully.
