A speed lover crashed in nearly 20 vehicles near the Lyari Expressway Toll Plaza on Monday morning, in what commuters described as a traffic violation and major security failure.
The concrete dumper lost control would have been due to brake failure, collision with vehicles queuing in the toll cabin.
Fortunately, no victim has been reported. However, several cars have undergone major damage and panic spread among the shuttles on the site.
The authorities have not yet published an official declaration.
Earlier in the day, the driver of a small withdrawal truck who escaped the Karachi traffic police and endangered public security on Sharea Faisal went and was arrested, the police confirmed.
The incident, captured in a widely broadcast video, has shown a parade that pushed a police vehicle and fleeing the premises.
The images triggered indignation online and caused a repression on the city scale against skips and heavy transport vehicles.
According to the police, the driver arrested said he was prosecuted by motorcyclists and feared that his vehicle be burned – an answer to the violence of the recent crowd triggered by road accidents involving heavy vehicles.
Previously, a high-speed half-price collided with several motorcyclists near North Karachi Power House, causing three people injured.
After the incident, rabid demonstrators have launched serious demonstrations against the Dumper, set fire to five dumpsters, an oil tanker and a truck in various places, Express News reported.
According to rescue sources, people injured were immediately transferred to the hospital.
