Last month, Dyson unveiled the penonvac – a new addition to the range of Camiers de Brand, and apparently the most vintage in the world. Yesterday, I was fortunate to try one, and it turns out that this strange look VAC is a hell of a move.
The penonvac is nothing like your standard wireless wireless stick. The engine, the filters and the dust cup are all hidden in the broom -shaped handle, which launches a diminutive of 1.5 inches / 3.8 cm in diameter. The head of the ground is just as surprising, with its four soft rollers in the shape of a cone.
Less obvious from press photos is how handy this cleaner is. The cleaner head can rotate on the spot and she cleans front and rear sides. Like all the best dyson vacuum cleaners, it can stay flat on the ground, and because the handle is symmetrical, you can also maintain it on any side. You can make eight on your floor if you can get your correct angles.
The maneuverability is impressive, but there are many more cool features in addition. The “Quadcon” floor head is new on this machine and designed so that if it meets long hair, it will head towards the narrow end of the cone and will come out like a package on the side, how easily it can be. The soft material is perfect for delicate hard floors, and the cones protrude from the case so that you can clean directly in the corners, and even give your plinths a little dust as and when.
Dyson added its distinctive green laser (which appeared for the first time on the detection of Dyson V15) with a cleaner head. This helps launch shadows on debris on the ground, so you don’t even miss the smallest grain of dirt. Here, it is located in the center on both sides of the head of the ground, and it is still as useful.
Who is the pencil?
While Dyson says that the pencil can be used on the carpet, it is really specialized for hard floors. The soft rollers are perfect for hard floors and the laser really makes sense on a solid surface.
Although it looks like a strong competitor for the best vacuum cleaner from Techradar for the overview, the flexible rollers will not wave the fibers enough to offer deep cleaning on the carpet. The aspiration is also much lower than you find on the main flagship range – partly due to the engine and partly due to the more open design of the ground.
For many, it will be a complementary machine rather than your main vacuum cleaner, but if you want something for quick cleaning on hard floors, the pencil looks perfect. Complete review to follow when I had the chance to put it properly to the test.
At the time of writing, I have no information on the prices for pencilvac, but I know that it should be put up for sale in Australia in August 2025, before hitting the American and British markets in 2026. If you cannot wait so long, you can consult the Dyson V12 Detect Slim, which is – for our money, underestimated – on the scale of scaling for small homes.
