Philadelphia Eagles Offensive tackle Jordan Mailata interrupted a locker room interview Thursday to remind a reporter of his “ladies first” policy.
The veteran Super Bowl champion was answering questions from reporters before Sunday’s game against the Detroit Lions when he stopped John Clark of NBC Sports mid-question to give the floor to the reporter in the locker room.

“Are you just coming in? Sorry, we’ll go to the ladies first,” Mailata said politely in a video shared on X by WIP-FM Radio reporter Devan Kaney. “Sorry, John. We’ll start with the ladies, but then we’ll come back to you, John. I’m sorry, I was just sticking to that. I was just sticking to the theme, I’m sorry.”

The actual interruption caused laughter in the room. Mailata joked that the reporter looked at him when Clark started speaking.
“The girls looked at me as soon as you spoke, and I thought, ‘Oh, shit. They’re all looking.’ I’m going to hold on.”
Kaney was able to ask the next question, which was about AJ Brown’s most recent comments on his production in the Eagles offense.

EAGLES STAR WR AJ BROWN SEEKS BIGGER ROLE IN MATCHUP VS. POWERFUL LIONS
āIām just going to stay in my lane. [The offensive line] is going to stay in our lane and just block and get protection,ā Mailata said when asked if he had spoken with Brown about his recent remarks.
“I don’t think AJ is wrong. I don’t think he’s wrong, and if that’s how he feels, that’s how he feels,” he added, noting that the team “evolved from there.”
Brown has made it clear through cryptic social media posts and public comments that he is unhappy with his role. But the Eagles are 7-2 and in position to become first NFC East team to win consecutive division titles in two decades.

“It’s not that I don’t care about winning, all I care about is the stats, right,” Brown told reporters Wednesday. “It’s been weeks of sometimes us not contributing, not doing our job on offense. You can’t keep putting a Band-Aid on it if you’re hoping to win later in the year. You think you’re going to go there at the end of the year? It’s not going to… happen. It’s not going to happen. It’s not going to happen.”
