ECP invokes Omar Ayub the 4th

Islamabad:

The Pakistan Electoral Commission (ECP) convened on June 4, opposition head of the National Assembly Omar Ayub in a disqualification reference filed against him by his rival of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).

The ECP will hear the reference against the PTI leader on June 4 at 10 a.m. The case against Ayub was brought by his rival candidate Babar Nawaz. The candidate supported by the PML-N in the 2024 general elections sent a reference to the speaker of the National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq, who transferred it to the ECP.

Babar Nawaz allegedly alleged that Omar Ayub had not disclosed all of his assets in the details submitted to the ECP. He asked that Omar Ayub be disqualified under article 62, 63.
