Charlie Hunnam was nominated for a Golden Globe for his performance in Monster: The Ed Gein Storybut he was unaware of its reception.
The 45-year-old actor has made a habit of avoiding consulting reviews on his projects, which is why he can avoid the negativity but also miss out on the hype.
THE Sons of Anarchy The star shared that he had to get into the habit of ignoring the noise because of a cruel incident where he was exposed to too many negative reviews about his film, Green Street Hulligans.
“I don’t read anything about it. Not for years. I learned this stuff early in my career. I’ve been doing this for 27 years,” Hunnam said. Access Hollywood.
He shared that although the film was well-received by fans, critics weren’t “kind” to him after the 2005 film, and he decided he “didn’t need to go through that again.”
