King Charles III’s younger brother Prince Edward has been honored with a new role amid concerns from his wife over her ex’s claims and potential revelations in a new book.
The Duke of Edinburgh has been named the new boss of the Viva Arts and Community Group amid ongoing tensions within the royal family following scandals. A decision widely welcomed by the organization.
The announcement comes amid reports Duchess Sophie is keeping a low profile after learning the shocking truth about her husband’s past relationship amid the Andrew and Sarah Ferguson scandals.
There is speculation that Edward’s ex could write a tell-all memoir to reveal untold stories about her past and her relationship with the Duke.
Reacting to the development, Daniel Schumann, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Viva Arts, said: “We are absolutely delighted and deeply honored that His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh has agreed to become Patron of Viva Arts and the community group.”
Daniel continued: “His visit to open our theater in 2023 meant a huge amount to our organisation, our volunteers and the wider Soham community. The Duke showed a genuine interest in our work and the difference the arts can make to people’s lives.
Viva Arts and Community Group offers theater productions, workshops, community projects and educational programs, aiming to “inspire confidence, creativity and connection” among people of all ages.
As Patron, The Duke of Edinburgh will support Viva’s mission to enrich lives through the arts, championing community participation, creativity and access to theater and cultural activities across the region.
Schumann later praised the move, saying the announcement is “a wonderful endorsement of the work our team and volunteers do to make the arts accessible to all.”
